Frequently asked questions
What is the Shortalyze connector?
A secure link between Shortalyze and an AI assistant, built on the open Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your assistant uses it to read your creators' numbers when you ask a question. Nothing is installed on your computer.
Which assistants work with it?
Any AI assistant that supports MCP connectors: Claude, ChatGPT and its Dots, Muse and more. In Claude your answers come as live charts and cards.
Can my assistant change anything in Shortalyze?
No. The connector is read-only: it can't add creators, change contracts or pay anyone.
Who can connect a workspace?
Only an owner of the Shortalyze workspace. Each connection reads one workspace, the one you pick while approving.
Can my assistant see payouts and credits?
Only if you allow it. Money data is off unless you switch it on while connecting. Views, videos and creators are always included.
Does asking questions use credits?
No. Reading your numbers through an assistant is free. Credits are only used for tracking videos, as in the dashboard.
How up to date are the numbers?
The same as your dashboard: accounts that post regularly are checked up to twice a day. Every answer says when the numbers were last measured.
How do I disconnect?
Open Settings in Shortalyze. Every connection is listed there with who made it and when it was last used, and you can disconnect it with one click.
